Similar to the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card (see our review), when you sign-up for a Chase Sapphire Reserve℠ Card, you will earn 50,000 bonus points after you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. If you are a frequent traveler and have read through the features, I’m sure you will now surely want to be an owner of one!
For one, automatically receiving up to $300 back annually in travel credits definitely makes up for the steep annual fee of $450. The travel credits are good towards almost any and most travel purchases you make — even on parking and tolls. In addition to that, with the Elite travel benefits, you can receive up to $100 credit toward Global Entry or TSA Precheck enrollment.
Whether you’re traveling domestic or international, you will have access to 900+ airport lounges worldwide with complimentary Priority Pass™ Select membership after a simple one-time activation. At these lounges, you’ll have access to private bathrooms where you can shower before your next flight, food, drinks, etc. You can also turn your points into real airline miles with United MileagePlus, Southwest Rapid Rewards, and more instantly.
To conclude, this card offers a big bonus with even bigger benefits that include easy to use travel credits. But despite my on-going rave about it, if you can not justify paying such a high annual fee for a credit card, do not feel the need to get one just because of its’ high ratings. There will be other deals that will come along and will be more fitting for your spending habits.
